v0.2.2 Β· July 2026

Install in 5 steps

⚠

Developer mode must stay on. Chrome, Brave, and Edge require Developer mode to load extensions not from their store. If you turn it off, Vaulis will be disabled until you turn it back on. This goes away once the extension is approved by the browser store.

1

Download and unzip

Click the download button above. Once downloaded, unzip the file β€” you'll get a folder called vaulis-extension.

2

Open your browser's extensions page

Chrome / Brave: navigate to chrome://extensions
Edge: navigate to edge://extensions
Firefox: navigate to about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox

3

Enable Developer mode β€” leave it on

Chrome / Brave / Edge: toggle Developer mode in the top-right corner of the extensions page. Leave this on permanently β€” the extension won't load without it until it's approved by the browser store. Firefox: no toggle needed β€” proceed to step 4.

4

Load the extension

Chrome / Brave / Edge: click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
Firefox: click Load Temporary Add-on… and select the manifest.json file inside the unzipped Firefox folder. Note: Firefox requires the separate Firefox download β€” the Chrome/Edge zip will show an error.

5

Pin the icon to your toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece icon (Extensions menu) in your browser and pin Vaulis. The πŸ” icon will appear on your toolbar and in password fields on login pages.

Click any item to see username, reveal password, copy, and open the site.

πŸ”„

Smart update

When you log in with new extra fields, updates your existing entry β€” no duplicates created.
